The Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Fund’s The Wall That Heals 2023 National Tour visits Williams Park in the Village Of Gibsonburg on East Stone Street from August 31st through September 3rd 2023. The Wall That Heals, is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that will visit Gibsonburg and Sandusky County as a part of its 2023 National Tour, along with a Mobile Education Center. The Wall That Heals honors those who served in the military during the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

The Wall That Heals is proudly sponsored and hosted by: The Village of Gibsonburg, Sandusky County Commissioners, Sandusky County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Sandusky County Communities Foundation, Gibsonburg School District, American Legion and the VFW.


This is open to the public and is free admission to all.


WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR VISIT:

Parking is free and located on site. Handicap parking and transportation assistance up to the wall will be available (Golf Carts).

Visitors can view the exhibit at their own pace

Children are welcome

No dogs or pets are allowed EXCEPT for service animals

There are NO concessions or souvenirs for purchase.


Tuesday, August 29th

The Black Swamp VFW Riders and other groups including Police and Fire will escort The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and The Wall That Heals into Gibsonburg and Sandusky County

Route is US 20 East from Target Parking Lot. Right onto Anderson Road. Left onto SR 600 and into Gibsonburg. Left at light onto SR 300. Right onto E. Stone Street and into Williams Park.

11:30am- Meet at the Target Parking Lot on US 20 in Rossford

12:45pm- Safety Briefing by the VVMF and Ride Captain

1:00pm- Kickstands Up

1:45pm- Estimated Arrival in Williams Park Gibsonburg

Wednesday, August 30th

Construction of The Wall begins at 8:00am by volunteers and students and staff from Vanguard Sentinel Career and Technology Center beginning at 8:30am

Volunteer Training at 6:00pm

Thursday, August 31st

The Wall officially opens to the public at 12:00am and will remain open until Sunday, September 3rd at 2:00pm.

Group Tours are available for all ages.

Friday, September 1st

The Wall is open to the public 24 hours. Group Tours area available for all ages.

Saturday, September 2nd

The Wall is open to the public 24 hours. Group Tours area available for all ages.

Sundav, September 3rd

The Wall is open to the public until 2:00pm.

Closing Ceremony is at 1:30pm
